I happened to stumble over this, and thought I'd post it to go along with the published version.

i've really been loving all these action covers. i'd love to see yourself and/or darwyn cooke doing a volume of all-star superman. it could capture the golden age sensibilities and max fleischer stlye in the same was that morrison and quitely's captured the weird sci-fi elements of the silver age. when you pitch it to dc, tell them it was my idea though...

Thanks Ollywood. I'm a big fan of the All-Star Superman stuff. I've only read a few, but they were pretty great. Is the series still going?
I have a couple of Superman stories I intend to pitch as short graphic novels,...at some point.

they wrapped it up with issue 12. apparently dc don't have any current plans to extend the all-star line after all-star batman and robin wraps up in the next decade or so. i'd love to see a superman story in your style, i've always thought that superman should be based in the golden age complete with art deco metropolis. get on it, man, it'd be awesome!

Dave, are you one of those "strictly brush" artists, or do you mix and match to suit the piece you're working on?

P.S.: What size brush do you use?

I use those Pitt brush pens. Did you know the nib is two sided? You can have em sent to you from DICK BLICK art supplies. I know Utrect carries them too.
Pitt also has a few pens that I use. They come in F, M, S, and XS. I mostly the "S" pen.
Once I post the Teen Titans Go! covers, you'll see mostly deadline pen work.

I use the Pitt Artist Pens, but I'll have to keep the Brush pens in mind. Thanks!
