Tripping over more old files. Action Comics #810 featured one page vignettes of Superman celebrating New Years Day around the world. I was very inspired by Dave Mazzucchelli's Big Man at the time.
I remember an old friend telling me He didn't think Superman could shoot fireworks from his eyes. Actually Supes is super frying molecules with his heat vision (at various degrees and rates) causing them to explode in a firework-like way. What does it really matter how he's doing it, those kids seem to like it.
How cool is it that Dc actually printed this amongst all of the standard colored comic pages?

Does anyone else find it ironic that Superman is paling around with Japanese kids considering that Action Comics coined the phrase "Slap a Jap?" I know that's was the Second World War, but still, is it just me? Yeah I think it is just me. Oh well.

I like to think the kid standing next to Supes is a girl, even though it most likely isn't.

I wonder how Goku feels about Superman stepping onto his territory. After all, he is like, their equivalent to him. Clark better be careful, that's all I'm saying.
