I received more feedback about this cover than any other.
There was a ton of discussion about Terras' seahorse tattoo.
I added this because my girlfriend has a seahorse tattoo on her ankle, and I knew she would love it. Plus I thought it looked cool, and suited Terras' personality.
Once I decided to add the tat, I remembered that Tatsunokos' (sp?)
logo was a great graphic seahorse. Tastsunoko was the amazing Japanees toon studio in Japan responsible for Speed Racer, and Gatchaman to name only two of their many great series.
So there you have it. Gave my GF a thrill, and paid homage to my fav overseas studio.
I was fortunate to have WB toon talent Ben Jones and Derrik Wyatt pitch in with the super D titans to round the piece out. Thanks fellas!

Nice! I remember seeing this at a Books-a-Million when it came out- the chibi-style of the characters in the background and Terra drawn in a "normal" anime style is an awesome contrast
